Ive had lowering blocks on for over two years now and love-em. I installed them because when I put on the new Mustang seat it raised my seating position by an inch so the blocks got me back down to stock height and then some. The seat is broke in now so its actually lowering all the time somewhat LOL.

Thanks guys for this valuable info on lowering blocks and shorter shocks. I bought a set of lowering blocks several months ago but never installed them due reading other post about how the blocks change the geomentry etc... I then decided that I would purchase 11" shocks but was concerned about the suspension travel. You see, my bike is a 97 FXD with a wide glide fork and 21" wheel and forward controls. The bike sits high in the front and I can almost see the top of the rear (16") tire at the fender. After reading all of your post I am going to install the lowering blocks and lower the froks with drop in springs. Your comments has saved me about $400. If you every get to L.A. (lower Alabama) the beer is on me.

Really dude????? Haha.....have you ever had a set of lowering blocks?

I bought the same ones you are looking at and I have no problems.....I had to remove the belt guard because the fender hit on really hard bumps....which are everywhere here in Jersey.....

Here's some pics 2" tank lift too
