I rode up to St Louis yesterday and as I pulled up to a car I noticed my headlight was out again. This makes the 3rd bulb that has went out since around april (8000 miles or so).
Anyone else having issues? Also I run it on High Beam almost all the time (dont ride at night much) is this causing it.
You running the stock bulb? I use the hd's high output ones and I'm on my 2nd one in about 6000 miles. The one I'm using right now only has the high beam since the low beam burned out 2 weeks ago. It is getting a little ridiculous!
Ran the stock bulb for around 8000 miles with no problems.
First one that blew was what came with my Cobra ll headlight, I just figured it was a cheap bulb. The last 2 have been different Slyvania ones from Auto-Zone.
3rd season with my Silverstar bulb. I've been waiting for it to blow from the posts I have read, but still going strong. I never use the high beam as I get more light from the low beam & bullet lights hooked up to the low beam wiring.
Did you also use the sylvania bulb that said on the side of the package
"For Motorcycle use only"
I have these in my ATV's for years with no problem. I'm still using the stock bulb that came with my Cobra headlight with no problem, but I dont use High beam very often.
