Extended cables
Morning guys, Wanted some guidance on some cable issues. I recently upgraded my handlebars which look awesome, but they are still a little short. I bought some 2 inch risers and with the risers and new bars, the cables aren't long enough. I went to bent bike and they said they can order some throttle cables for 25 a piece, not steel or anything fancy.
You guys have any online stores that you reccomend?

I wish I could help you out. I just started to look into this myself because I'm doing mini apes for my winter project but I don't have all the information yet. I'm sure someone here will chime in soon enough. Good luck!
I've had good luck with: latus-harley-davidson.com or 1-877- 468-7584
They are very helpful and didn't steer me wrong. I changed all cables and lines to stainless, 6" longer than stock for $206 that was a lot less than the local stealership was going to take from me.
Good luck.

Some online stores who offer 20% discount:
Lake Shore Harley- Davidson: www.LSHD1.com
Chicago Harley-Davidson: www.ChicagoHarley.com
Zanotti: www.zanotti.com
To determine the lenght of the cables: run a thin metal wire along the stock cables (throttle/idle and clutch) from the engine to the handlebar. Take this measurement and compare it with the table in the online p/a catalog page 609-612 to find the approriate part numbers.
Use these p/n's in the online shop databases and you'll know the prices.
