i am a seat freak.... so,i gotta tell you,i do really like the sundowner !!! great for 2 up,or solo. had a sundowner on my last bike too (05 sporty) . i have had several mustang seats, they always killed my **** ... i know lots of people like the tang seats,i am a beliver of : " different seats for different butts " .
i only had one other seat out of the many bikes i had that was better, and that was a gel saddleman, problem is,saddleman seems to run about 6 or 7 years behind on new bikes .
so,i give the sundowner a solid 8.5 out of a perfect 10 . i buy a lot on line from surdyke harley,20% off,and decent ship rates.
the oem stock on my bobber really killed me,took it off the first day . hope this helps you make your call on a seat : good luck. no doubt, others will chime in with other opinions. i do not mean to offend ppl with other seats... just saying what works for my butt.
the bar is considered medium size. i got the seat from the dealer when i got the bike with 20% off,so,with the 20% off,it was right around 230.00 if i remember correct . they had a much wider backrest,i just thought is was a bit oversized for my tastes.
i think i had apx 300.00 in the backrest,rack,and sidebars .
i have this sac bag that slides over my backrest. i really like it for short trips '
