I saw the Black Denim on the Night Train and have to say it looks sharp, like it belongs there.

Im not weeping at all. The only difference between my 06WG and the 07 is the 96" vs 88". So the new bikes have a couple extra foot pounds of torque....And considering, I did the stage 1 kit...the difference is probably negligible. If I really want to go fast, I'll jump on my YZF Yamaha, and dust any harley...without even thinking about it.

Actually, I'm kidding...I am a little pis*ed. But that's just my nature. Anytime I buy something, and then the new model comes out, if there are changes, I'm usually frustrated.
But the truth is...in this case, it's not enough of a change to really cause me any real frustration...unlike if I would've bought an 05 right before the 06s came out. Now that would've frustrated me!

I gotta say that I'm a bit surprised though. I kinda figured that with all the changes to the dyna line in 06, that we wouldn't see any changes for a long time. And then, the next year, Harley goes and puts bigger motors in all their big twins. Bastards [:@]

todd . . . you got it.

i ordered my bob at 10/15/05. after endless nearly 7 moth waiting i got it in the beginning of may 06. meanwhile i drove 1.700 km . . last week i had my first service.

the 07 dynas got a stronger engine, another exhaust . . . good for us germans, service only all 10.000 km and other goodies. in my opinion the company took the 06 dynas and their thousands of owners for testing the new gear, the new clutch, the new fork. we were all beta-testers :-(

if i want more power or a better sound i have to look at the after-sales-market . . . an upgrade with an other exhaust and air-cleaner is about 2000 euro. the 07 dyna is only 400 $ more than the 06 modell.

sorry for my bad english . . . but i hope you understand this -->

--> BASTARDS!

regards from germany . . . thomas . . . the beta-tester

I agree. I aint' weepeing.
Be nice to have a bigger motor standard, but hey what ya gonna do, perpetually wait until the next model comes out (Unless you are well off enough to buy the latest and greatest every year.) It's always that same with cars and bikes.

I will say I really like the VRSCDX Night rod special. That is one badass looking machine.

Now I do understand why all dealers ( here in The Netherlands at least) have been offering the Big Bore SE upgrade at lower prices for the past few months, and they have also been putting a lot of effort in getting rid of their 2006 stock...... [sm=confused06.gif]

iwant1 . . . you are right . . . its still the same with cars and bikes. imho not in such short time. maybe with digicams . . . not with harleys. after ordering, they let us wait for months and monts and a few weeks after riding the new bike they present us a mega-update.

aaaaarghhhhhhh . . . that makes me angry.

just came back from a nice small tour through the southwest of germany . . . 150 km with my brandnew forwards . . . great feeling. i'm 6 ft tall and drove nearly 2000 km with the middle pegs . . . not really comfy. now its really better :-)

regards . . . thomas

I'm happy with my '06 bob, so why should I be upset about the '07 models?

I agree, i'm happy with my '06 FXDCI. Some friends of mine where talking about the MOCO putting bigger motors on the bikes because the metric companies have be doing it for a while.

I think most people were expecting this to happen sooner, rather than later...
