Ignition Key Number ?
Looking through the paperwork and owners manual that came with my bike, I can't find the "Ignition Key Number". Is this something that's supposed to be included with the bike or does the dealer just keep it on file?

My 2nd set of keys had a little black tab that has the key # on it, but your dealer should have a record of it as well.

the keys come attached together in a tab that has the number...the dealer usually separates the keys so they can work and keep the spare one and the tab number while doing the setup.
at the delivery, dealer should give the new owner the keys AND the tab with the number.
if they didn't do that..or if you lost the tab with the number....there's no big deal....you can go to the dealer with your bike's VIN and ask him to check on the computer. HD-Net has the numbers and they are seached through the VIN.

you're welcome.....and congrats on your new ride!
I once had a key broken and I lost the number...that's how I discovered that the key # is logged on HD-Net.
