Default Lowers on!

I ordered a set of Memphis Shades lowers and brackets from J&P. Got em in today.
I had the HD quick detach shield.
I had to slightly modify the new brackets by sanding about a 1/4" off the top. Other than that, the install took about 15 mintues.

A quick ride down the road at a brisk 75 mph, then a spurt up to 85 to see what kind of buffeting I was going to get.

I was pleasantly surprized. The lowers will be a permanent fixture on my Super from now on.

I was able to remove my goggles and ride with my prescription glasses only. That was very nice. I have sensitive eyes, hence years of goggle wearing. No more unless its cold outside.

Good one Mike!

Actually, that was the reason for the goggles before, because of the wind coming from underneath. This time of year is the worst because of pollen anyway - for my eyes.

I will keep the goggles for cool weather and rain. But the rest of the time................the old trusty TRIFOCALS!!!!

Its hard being an old fart sometimes.

Pictures - when my daughter in law brings back the camera that got borrrowed for a birthday party.

Mike--

Just to be clear, do you still use the Harley quick detach winshield or did you buy a Memphis Shade in addition to the lowers???I am very interested in this product as I seem to get beat all to heck with or without the windshield from all the wind coming up from beneath..I have an o5 Dyna Wide btw...Thanks for your help..Ryan

Mike, sounds like a good reason to take a ride to the daughter in-laws to get the camera!

Mike--

Yes I still use the HD quick detach set up. And today once again I rode the interstate without my goggles. I was getting beat up pretty bad before.

I'm going to get a picture up before the end of the week. I may have to ride over there, for sure to get that camera.

Should I ever need to purchase another windshield, I will purchase a Memphis shades product , rather than the HD.

After looking at several up close on the last group ride I went on, I liked the MS stuff a lot better.

Thanks for the heads up! I just finished a 500 mile ride this past weekend and I have a full face helmet -- I had to keep the shield up which I dont mind, but the buffeting is still really bad -- I'm going to get on line and order some lowers and brackets up. I have the HD quick release also. THanks again!
