I khave a 05 dyna and was going with gear drive, but dealer talked me out of it and said they have a new part 25284-08 that replaces the plastic tensioner with a better hydraulic system that the 06 came with it also comes with the better oil pump, and i thought as long as they are in there i should change the cams so i cannot find the wood bros i keep hearing about does anyone know there web page need to know if they make a set for the hydralic system or maybe just go to the gear drive but i hear they are noisy ect what do ya think

The dealer maybe talking about the new cam support plate with the hyd cam chain tensioners. I 'm sure most cam makers have cams that will work with this support plate. It's also my understanding that the cams don't ride in bearings just parent material. I could be wrong.

the new cam plate kit is pretty nice, you get an updated oil pump too. Personally, I would run the gear drive cams myself. They are not really all that loud. Cycle-rama's custom grind cams are available to the public now. I would use their cams over any other.

I plan on changin my tensioners if needed.....gotta get out there and crack open the case and see whats up.....27k miles on mine.

I wouldn't touch gear drives without a trued and welded crank. The chains are more forgiving on tolerances.
