That's my goal here...learning. That was the plan (taking the fenders back down smooth.) I'm going to try to get all the runs out of the tank (another learning experience). I got about a 1/4 quart of paint left.

Pretty cool doing it on your own. Mine looks good from a distance but you can see where I screwed up as you get closer. I'm still tickled with the results being it was my first paint job. No doubt yours will turn out nice.

Got 'er done this afternoon. Couple space heaters in the "booth" and took care of it. Got some'orange peel" but no runs. Repainted all parts. I think some wet sanding will take care of it. I think this time I was a little gun shy...hence the orange peel. Live and learn.

Sanded it all back down and shot it again with Base/Clear coat.
Need some more help...
I want to pinstripe it. What paint can I use over the clear and what hardener/thinner do I use? Thanks for the help fellas.

I would have shot a midcoat clear, striped with the same paint product as the base (so you could use all the same reducers, hardener, etc).

In your position now, I'd scuff all the clear, stripe, shoot 2 more coats of clear over the whole thing.
