yep the bars are plain, short, and narrow. I dig em, if you don't it's cool. You probably wouldn't like that I "ruined" all the chrome on my bike with scotch brite either. They have an inch and a half less pull back, a inch less drop, 2 inches shorter and a bit narrower too. They are going on a street bob. I saw them on that bike in this months cycle source mag and loved the way they look. I was going to run a Biltwell Tracker with 6" riser but wanted something a bit different. I like the fact that people see my stuff and can't tell what I changed but they know it's different. I was going to hack my stock bars apart and basically make them look like that but then I saw these and hit up T-bone and he's knocking some up for me.
not at all man, i was just wondering because i couldn't tell too much from the pic you linked up.
i dig seeing the different things people do to their bikes man that wasn't the intent of my post.
I wasn't being a dick, not meant to come off that way. I tend to look at things different than most people and I'm used to people asking why I did this or that. The main reason I got those bars is I like them, a lot, I knew when I saw them I HAD TO HAVE THEM, but I won't see them on everyone elses bike and I like to support small builders instead of the big suppliers. I think when my bike is done people will know it's different but have to ask why or what I did. I'm building what I think Harley should have.
Dude, risers! Why don't you see if they will weld you some riser bungs right on to the bars? The look is as clean as it gets and risers can be $$pricey$$!
I was going to go with biltwells but I have a stock riser clamp I am going to modify. I got a deal on a new chrome set up when I got my top clamp and traded it to a buddy for his stock sporty clamp. It will look something like this:
