Hi! New to the forum. I picked up my SuperGlide at the end of March. Forgot to tell the wife I was buying a Harley, but you know how that goes. I went to buy a bagger, but the Glide caught my eye. I liked it's clean, uncluttered look. It was like a Sportster on steroids. I also like the fact that in a group of Harley's, mine does not stand out. Just don't like a lot of folks standing around my ride. Since I've had it, I've installed a SE Stage 1 kit with the HD Slip-On's and remapped the ECU. I'm not happy with the HD Slip-On's, the sound is not that of the SE II's. I do plan on getting the new Bassani's 2 into 1 with the short megaphone. I've been looking for a sporty fairing, but haven't found what I wanted. I ordered a blue-dot taillight lense and a lay down license plate frane from J & P. The tailight lense came in and was scratched up on the sides and the top mounting flange lip was a bad manufacturing melting of the plastic. The license plate frame would not fit my NC license plate and I was not going to ream out the license plate frame so it would fit. Maybe a Kuryakyn unit will fit. I did not know the J & P stuff was from Taiwan. I've installed a Mustang seat, backrest for me, passenger seat and backrest for my wife (now she's a little happier) chrome flat style HD foot rest and highway pegs. I've go so many pegs hanging off it's beginning to look like a spider. Oh yea! I got a great deal at my local HD dealer.

LOL! I thought about that when I was initially planning my purchase, but just couldn't do it, had to find a way to get her to agree that buying a Harley was a necessity in our lives. I also got my Bob in March, anyway, congrats and looking forward to some pics!
Oh Dayum,...............I couldnt imagine not telling the wife about buying a new Harley,........LOL,... I cant live that dangerously. Now I do sneak in as much chrome and stuff for my bike as possible without permission,........LOL

dlstanf2- Sorry to break to you but you picked the wrong bike if you think people won't dig your ride and gather around it![8D] I have the 05 version Silver color and love how the black tank console, black battery and black frame contrasts with the silver paint scheme. I too like something simple and people will walk right past other people's rides which I think are much better and tell me how much they like my bike. You will be surprised how much attention your bike will get by being simple and a straight forward bike meant to be ridden.
Mountains? I have heard of them and even seen pictures of them, but here in Kansas the nearest ant hill is considered a mountain.[8D] The weather has been hot with temps at or over a 100 for three weeks. Finally got cooled down a bit this weekend.
