Default S100 Engine Cleaner

I got some S100 Engine Cleaner for my Denim Black Street Bob and have a question for those who use it. The directions say to spray on and wipe off any over spray. Before I go ahead and give it a shot (no pun intended), do I just give the engine a good once over? Do I use that little straw thing to spray in between the engine fins? Do I use it on the rocker box on the top of the engine?

If anyone has any tips on using it I'd love to hear them.

Man i just spray it on. Then use a good wash mit and bucket of car wash soap on the stubborn stuff. Then I get my power washer and rinse it off top down. Finish off with my shop vac hooked up asbackwards to blow dry and then use a good terry towel and spray detailer to wipe it down.

I picked up some of the S100 Total Cleaner for the rest of the bike... but I heard good things about the engine cleaner on our blacked out twins.

At one of my local H-D shops. They have a whole display of various S100 cleaners and you can also find them listed in the parts catalog towards the back.

Been using that Honda spray stuff on about five bikes so far and it sure fits the bill. Heavy mud, wash first at car wash, low pressure, let dry or hand dry, use the spray cleaner, wipe off and polish with micro fiber cloth.

I just heard about this stuff couple weeks ago. Went riding with a couple of guys who have Hondas and their wife rode a Yamaha, they were using the stuff to clean the windshields and get the bugs off the gas tank.
Did a nice job of cleaning it without water.

I know this thread is a little old, but I just bought this stuff the other day and am not sure of the best way to use it either.
Most replies in this thread are talking about the Honda polish...which I will agree is great stuff (and HD makes a similar product which is basically the same exact thing)...but there really haven't been too many replies regarding the actual question.

In my case, I haven't ever washed my bike...basically because it hasn't been in the rain yet..and it's pretty much wiped down with the honda polish after every ride...that said, my engine is starting to show some dirt/road grime...and that's why I bought the s100 stuff.

So I guess the question is, do you have to wash the bike if you use the s100 engine cleaner, or can you spray it on and just let it sit there?...especially on the fins?

Thanks.

Todd
