Default Thunderheader back from JetHot (Pics)

I got my pipe back from JetHot coatings this morning . I think it met my expectations . It looks like highly polished aluminum , or slightly dull chrome . Pics are crappy because I took them in my house , so the lighting isn't too good , not like outside .

The reason I didn't install it yet...

They call it Sterling . Here is the description from their site....

STERLING SILVER is our brightest looking finish. It comes out looking like a very highly polished aluminum. This coating can withstand temperatures up to 1,300ºF and will reduce skin temps on pipes by about 300ºF. It is a very low maintenance finish, easily cleaned with soap and water. You can use any non-abrasive aluminum polish to bring out the shine if it ever gets dirty. It will never turn blue or gold like chrome or stainless. This coating works great on normally aspirated engines and any parts that need to have a show quality finish.

looks killer...looks more like the traditional ceramic or jethot coating! When ya mentioned titanium I thought ya meant the flatter tone of that color which was how my titanium thunderheader came out. I like yours better than the titanium color! To me the titanium just kind of looked like it was glass beaded!

Good choice!

Jayson, I hope that coating will inhibit the rust that normally appears on chrome THs. Don't they also coat the inside? I remember looking into that years ago. There was a company, which I believe was JetHot in Greenville, SC if memory serves me correct.

Looks great and sounds a like a good finish. See if you can tell a diffrerence in the heat of the pipe when the summer comes.
