Default +6" cables on 16" apes?

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times, but........Will 6" over stock cables fit for 16" apes? I ride an 05 dyna custom, Road 6 custom narrow apes (16"), on 2" risers.........thanx for your input.......

I'd recommend +8" for 16" although I have used +6" in the past they were kind of tight.

I put the 16" narrow burly apes on mine yesterday. 44" throttle, 43" idle (those my be backwards), 52" brake, 77" clutch.

All fits perfect.

It all depends on the measurements of the bars, not all 16" apes are made the same. I have Ø1.0" dia. 16" apes with a 8" center & 7" pullback, 6"+ cables worked perfect. For Wild One Chubby 16" bars 6"+ would be too short.

The best thing to do is get the bars you want, get them mounted & then take some wire to simulate your cables & use it to get the exact measurements.
