Figuring you might have two inches of play in your cables if you cut all the cable ties from the factory. Figure 12" apes at the most would be my guess. Think Crossbones come with 10" mini apes?
I have said this before and I will say it again. The Crossbones stockers are 10.5", going to a 12" won't be much of a difference, barely noticeable. If you want to go with apes, wait until you are at the point where you are willing, can afford, or whatever, to do cables and everything. If you spend the money on 12" apes, you will end up spending the money again down the road on cables AND another set of bars. I am 5 11 with a 32" inseam. In my sig pic, I am on the badlander seat with 14" wild 1 outlawz. Just to give you an idea. Besides looking cool, apes can be super comfortable. I have found right around shoulder level is my sweet spot.
