Default Forward Control Peg Angle?

I'm a recent convert to forwards. So far even the short rides are making my legs tired. Am I just out of shape or do I have the angle of the pegs wrong? Are your pegs mostly flat with the ground 45 degrees or some other angle. I tried 45 and Today 60. I'm wondering if I'm going the wrong direction or do I need to go with extensions. BTW, the highway pegs I was previously using felt fine, but they were much farther forward. From what I remember, my legs never felt tired using the highway pegs.

The pegs are bar and shield mostly flat.

Are you having to constantly hold your legs up, or are your feet resting on the pegs naturally?? As far as angle goes, just loosen the peg up enouh to still create a little drag, then get on the bike and place your foot on the peg till it rotates to where it is natural for your foot to rest. Get off then tighten it.

When I first started riding with fwds my legs were getting tired at high speeds. I figured it was because the wind was pushing my feet back, and I was pushing forward to compensate for it. I started riding on the highway with my feet parallell to the ground-a little more stretched out, and it became alot more comfortable. You catch a little more wind up your pants, but the fatigue goes away.

may just want to get stirrups for the pegs. 1000% more comfort and keep you from feeling like you are pressing into the pegs at speed.

Been having same problem where my legs fatigue from holding them on the peg at speed. Im going to try some heel rests. Otherwise I love the position of them.

Do what XWHYZ suggested, that's what I did. It does take a little getting used to forwards, and it is the wind blowing your feet off the pegs that cause that!. Picture mid controls, your feet are under you with the wind blowing along the surface of your boot, with forwards the wind is directly on the bottom of your foot striking that flat surface, anything over 65-70 mph and you have to apply pressure to keep 'em down. Makes sense right,if it doesn't next time your on the hwy try a little expirement with your left hand at speed. Also I got the kuryakyn iso switchblades for the option to have heal rests when desired. They are great but the second I have a big turn they are scraping so I don't get too much use out of them. However those heel rests are sooo comfy I forget they are down--> that's when they scrape on a low turn LOL!
