Default Need some help; lighting problem

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not that good when it comes to electrical and wiring. That being said I have a problem with my lights and am not sure where to start looking for the problem.

The problem is that my turn signals only blink on the right side. Both fronts run but the left doesn't blink. The rear only blinks on the right and there is no running or brake lights on both rears. As soon as I push the button for the lefts a key lights up on the speedo.

Now it's not the stock setup because the fender is shaved and I was running it nightster styled which is probably the problem but it was working for a while like this. I popped out the board from the stock tailight and put that under the seat and made extension for the rear turn signals so they could plug in under the seat. I am also using the HD brake run turn module. I took that off to see if that was causing the problem but still no blinkers on the left.

I'm thinking maybe that taillight board went bad but could that also affect the front. I would think if it was a problem exclusive to the rear then both fronts would still blink but I could wrong. Maybe it's all tied together. Any ideas?

Not likely that the board went bad, not much to it to go bad unless you snapped some pins.
Without knowing how you ran the wires it would be pretty tough to troubleshoot. Check the violet and brown wires to the front and rear signals, those are the turn signal wires, you may have one that is loose or disconnected somewhere.
Usually you will get a fast blinking when a bulb is out, the light coming on tells me there is most likely a short somewhere in one of the brown or violet wires.
Troubleshoot without the RBT module.

Sounds like you may have a bad wire on the left. Either your rear tire may have got into them or in your handlebars somewhere. The problem with the HD RTB module is if you get a short it will usually fry the module so thats probally why your running lights quit on the back. So I would look for a bare wire on the left side both front and back.

Bad thing with wiring is its just alot of trouble shooting.

As far as the rear board I dont think it is your problem but you dont need it either. I took mine out when i shaved my tail light and just ran the signal wires from the plug off the RTB module.

Also recommend the Biketronics RTB module as they offer a lifetime warranty. My HD one quit the first time my rear tire got into the blinker wires.
