I had wild1's with 8 inch rise and didn't have to change any cable....did have to straighten out the top metal part of the brake line...do that very carefully...

when i installed 10" t bars all that was needed were 2" longer throttle cables. width of the bars also comes into play as well. you should be fine at 8" without changing anything.

Not to steal your thread but if your current pipes are mini apes, I'd be happy to take them off your hands if you decide to sell them.

I installed a set of FXDL bars with 6" pullback risers and didn't have to swap out my cables. You can see pics in my profile section.

Maybe the differance between the rise of each bar would be a clue to the new riser height.

Default Handle bar swap Question

I have an 09 night train, with stock 6" risers and drag bars 28"wide that have a 4" pull back. How much of a rise and a pull back can I go without changing any of the cables? Example: 7" rise 6" pull 30.5 wide, will this work?

Stock cables and wires on mine with internal wiring on the T-bars. 8" risers. Probably couldn't go much more without longer cables though.
