Default Need suggestions

I have a 2003 low rider and am looking at doing some modifications. I was hoping some of you can give me suggestion that could make the bike look better (different). I want to do more then just add chrome covers. Thanks in advance. I have added what she looks like now.

I would say:

1) remove windshield (unless absolutely necessary)
2) shorter shocks in rear
3) spoke wheels (40 or 60)
4) laydown or side mount plate bracket

Possibilities are endless, but most often money is not! Good luck

The bike looks very good and I think you should be the one to make the changes to your prefrence. Everyone has his own idea to what he or she wants the bike to look like. Relocate the front turn signals, just for starts. The pipes are looking great, along with the other chrome add-ons.

Add a small chrome Motherwell rack to the rear fender, possibly go with a smaller solo seat, the choices are endless.

IMO, customization requires a lot of thought, a lot of patience, a lot of restraint, and very little money. Unless you have a grand vision of a radically differant bike, you really don't need to do much. But you bought and paid for this bike, so you must like the basic looks and style. I know I like it, and wouldn't want to change a lot of things.

The uninspired way is to cruise through the H-D catalog and come up with a list of chrome and billit doo-dads. Then just slap them on. Ho-hum; Boooooring.

Park the bike in the garage. Turn on the lights, get a chair and a cold beer. Listen to your favorite music to relaxe and open your mind a little. Now just look at the bike with a relaxed eye. What little thing needs to be changed? Maybe a differant shape, a differant color, or a differant texture.

For example, look at the battery cover. Maybe scuff it up with a green scrubby so it looks like brushed alum. Or maybe carry the two tone paint scheme down across the air cleaner and battery cover. Put a round Evo air cleaner cover on. I like simple 3 spoke billit wheels. But some polished stock cast wheels would look pretty good, too. Powdercoat your wheels and add some pin stripes. Paint or powdercoat some of your chome bits (like the drive belt shield) metal flake silver. Paint your console to match the tank. Change your tail lights/turn signals.

The list of options is only as long as your imagination. You don't have to be Indian Larry to make a nice custom bike.

OK, my first thought was "man, that's a nice bike, sell it to me" then I started to think about the real project here. The only thing I can think of is with the front end. You could chrome out the lower forks with some sliders - easy way. Or you could put a fatter front end on - Wide Glide. Either way, I think you might enjoy some more shiny on the fork - like instead of the reflectors . Have a good time. I love the 03 paint scheme.

Oh yeah, you might like a tank lift. I think it would work well on your bike.
