Default Stock FXDF pipes wrapped

Thanks to Mud and others who posted direction on this. They are still hot, but not as bad as the bare pipe. (We'll see if I avoid burning holes in pants and hands... Didn't care for the stock exhaust shields...) Wrap is DEI. Rush 2" Mufflers.

I generally don't like wrapped pipes. . . just not my thing. . . but that looks nice.

I love the "tommy gun" looks of the Fat Bob pipes though, and I think the 2-1-2 works really well. But your bike looks badass with those wrapped ones.

I differ on my opinion of the stock pipes, but I gotta admit that I really like those wrapped pipes ... I think once you run it for a few times, it'll start to turn more of a tan color ....

Don't want to be a stick in the mud, but wrap is bad for the pipe ....

Looks great though ....

Wow! Thanks for all the comments. Most from folks that I've seen so many of your posts and pictures in this forum, glad I could finally add something.

Hbomb74, it was fun, but only because I didn't rush it... If you haven't seen all the other posts, search on pipe wrap and that should help you prep... I used DEI wrap, it was at a local shop here.
PM me if you want details about the process, gaskets, safety wire etc...
