QD backrest docking

QD backrest docking

Question, I ordered a ghost bracket, for detach backrest, for my bags. it has not arrived. But while its all apart I am adding detach backrest. I have the side plates to add to backrest. But did not buy the docking kit, all I think I am going to need is the bushings that the backrest snaps on to. Can I make them? Thinkg just the bushings can be ordered from HD? Also moving the tail lights and wiring to later slap a 180 uner there.
Oh and thoughts on mountingfork bag, over or under headlight?
