Gearbox swap
Will a gearbox from a 2007 FXD six speed interchange with the gearbox on a 2004 five speed FXD??
Will the guts from the 07 fit into the case of the 04??
Can I use the 07 heads/rocker boxes on the 04?

If I remember correctly there are some different bushings that need to go into the older case I also remember it having to be clearanced somehow.
Why would you want to swap heads?
You wouldn't gain any performance. the only difference between the 88 and 96 is the stroke of the crank the cylinders are the same.

The 88 heads I have are damaged. The 96 heads are like new.
So will the whole gearbox from a 96 bolt onto the 88 engine and allow either of the primary cases to fit?
Do the major components swap? Gears, shafts, shifter assy?
