I have a saddleman round bag that i use for a backrest but when you take the jacket or the sweatshirt out of the bag it collapses to were there is no suport, thinking about changing to the stand up bag from saddleman br3400 mounted on a fender rack .has anyone tried this combo would like to know how it is for a backrest.or should i just buy a seat with a backrest.

Just thinking out loud but what if you made a rigid insert for the bag you have now so you could lean against it whether it was full or not.

I use this, it has different thickness end pads for adjustability. It's rigid so can use when empty.

I am. Its this removable seat seen below. I've used it w/o a sissy bar and it works and its secure but its not the same when its up against a sissy bar. The one advantage I've found with the Bikers Friend over a seat with a backrest, is the height of the backrest. Its pretty high against my back and supports me comfortably. I really kick back and relax with this thing.

when using a sissy bar it comes on and off in about 2 seconds, literally.

Ok. I have that same rack and removable seat, but not that sissy bar. does the sissy bar attach to the seat or the rack?

I just so happen to have pictures to answer all your questions tonight. HAHAHA. It attaches to the seat. shop craigslist (seachtempest) for the bikers friend. I've seen them out there quite a few times. They're kinda pricey new.
