Supeglide Foward Controls w/ ENGINE GUARD
Hello all,
I have a 2005 Dyna Super Glide with an engine guard. I love the look of the engine guard and I have harley fog lights mouted to it. I would like to add foward controld due to the fact that I am 6'2". The highway pegs are great but I am moving my legs back and forth an awful lot. Does anyone know if I can install factory foward controls and change my engine guard to a wide glide engine guard????????? Will a wide glide engine guard fit being that the Super Glide has less rake?

I don't see why not the frame is basicly the same except for the rake. Make sure that the mounting does not affect the voltage regular or any parts mounted on the front of the frame.
I have a '04 FXDI that I had H-D forwards put on this summer. I had some troubles finding engine guards that would fit. A call to Lindby took care of it. Their wide glide bars fit just fine. I should mention that if you have large feet (I have 13s), you may have a clearence problem between the brake pedal and the guard. I have Kuryakyn ISO pegs w/heel rests and I don't have much room to move my right foot. I'm going to look in to shorting up the brake rod a little to move the brake peddel down a bit. So far, I'm happy with the setup.
