Lindby Engine Guard (Multibar) vs HD Mustache Engine Guard
I have a 2010 SG. Does anyone use either of these two guards? I'm 6' tall and looking for a mustache guard that is comfortable with as low of foot rest as possible and still keep the bike protected. Thanks for the help.
I have the harley mustache engine guard, and i love it. gives me multiple foot positions as i still use highway pegs with the bar. only realy down side is you can't use fairing lowers with the engine guard (unless you go aftermarket like HoggChopps or somethign similar)
I have the multibar on my '09 street glide. The Multibar is closer to the rider than the standard engine guard. If I put my feet on the multibar, my heel hits the brake on the right side. I also tried to install the Lindby highway pegs and they wouldn't fit because the bars were deformed too much by the bends, but I still like them better than stock. I can't comment on the mustache guard.
I just got one of these for my RG, & it's KickAzz! It's made with 1.5" <FAT> tubing, and definitely carries a presence...
I have the mustache and am pretty happy with it regarding where I have my pegs allows for versatility as far as foot placement. The bars they have at the bottom of the page on the bike are mighty sweet but they sure are proud of em.
