[QUOTE=Mascman;7590805]I think you may be confusing the Harley Fat Bob with what they call the Fat Bob tank, or are you planning on modifying it to fit your Harley tank?[/QUOTE
I am aware of the Fat Bob Tank, but I dont see any real difference with that tank and the tank on my harley fat bob its the same tank so why do you think I would have to modify it?
I like what you've done and are planning to do. Which Track Bars are you thinking about? I understand about getting rid of the brake on the "show" side of the bike from a looks standpoint, but from a performance standpoint I' prefer the dual setup.
Probably going with the Biltwell track bars or I was thinking of doing the Roland sand full out bars which is a nice track bar.

I didn't know your tanks was a 2 piece as I'm not really familiar with them. Just wanted to point it out in case they are different but have the same name. Seems like it would be cheaper to get a whole new tank than just that insert.

Yeah I hear ya I saw the insert in a mag and just wanted to get some opinions on how it would look... Yeah the new 08-10 Fat Bobs have the same old Fat Bob 2 piece tank..

As someone pointed out I didnt mean my tank is the same 2 peice fat bob tank meant the dimensions are the same you can see the seam harley welds on the tank.. So yes your right no 2 piece tank
... I also HATE when fenders have a huge gap it just looks GHEY I want the rear fender to be flush with the tire... So any ideas on what I can do please let me know I would just chop the struts off and just put a little bob fender but my wife loves to ride with me so I have to be able to ride two up. So I need something low and flush but also sturdy??
Since the fender mounts to the frame and not to swingarm (hugger) the only way to make the gap disappear is to slam the rear. If you do that you are giving up suspension travel and since you said you ride 2-up often that may be a painful tradeoff for the sake of looking cool.
Edit: an alternative option is a long fender that covers the gap and comes down behind the back wheel.

Yeah I was thinking of doing a nice long rear fender I know sumax has a few that are like that street sweeper style but I just dont think my bike has thats style if I had a front fender and a nice big 21 wheel like a road king or something I think that would look awesome.. I seriously think I need a nice short bobbed fender.
Or I can cut the struts off make a nice bobbed fender and make some round bar sturts and attach them to the swingarm. Or figure maybe just moving the fender mounts lower like using a wide glide rear fender and just tweaking the holes so they are lower or higher which would then make the fender sit lower you know??
Can't tell from the pic, but did you put any kind of fork brace on the front? Or is just fine with nothing there? I have heard issues with flex and stuff but it seems to be a pretty beefy front end.
