Winter Mods Project FB
So I started my winter mods on my Fat Bob this year I got everything Powder Coated Black, did pipes, air intake, PC-5, Billet Foot Controls as u can see in my sig..
- New Mods - New 16 Spoke Wheels - I got some Dyna Hubs and got 16 rims front and rear so I am gonna powder coat the Hubs, Rims Flat Nlack and have Silver Spokes gonna keep the Stock Tires for now.
- New SJP Headlight single headlight powder coated Black from Exile Cycles getting rid of the dual headlights.
- New Air Cleaner - Ordered a New Goodspn Air cleaner and Powder Coated it Black aswell.
- New Hand Controls from Brass Ball Choppers basically Jay Brake Habd Controls anodized Black switched to a single disk brake in the front instead of the stock dual system. 1 inch risers with Dirt Bike Track Bars.
Want to do a custom rear fender I am not the biggest fan of the Bob Tail fender. I know guys are doing the wide glide fender but I also HATE when fenders have a huge gap it just looks GHEY I want the rear fender to be flush with the tire... So any ideas on what I can do please let me know I would just chop the struts off and just put a little bob fender but my wife loves to ride with me so I have to be able to ride two up. So I need something low and flush but also sturdy??
I am going to a single seat and I will add a pillion pad when I ride two up.
I was looking at this tank guage cluster delete from WashingtonChoppers.com check it out what do you guys think it gets rid of that big gauge cluster on the fat bob tank you can relocate the igintion to where the horn is which I dont care cause I dont run switches anyway I am in the process of rewiring everything when i finish putting on the new hand controls so everything looks clean. Actually here is the link for the Fat Bob dash cover its called just scroll down the page http://www.washingtonchoppers.com/gastankpage.htm
Any other ideas guys that could be done I am really just looking to have a custom Fat Bob I totally want to be different from every other Fat bob out there open to any ideas what do you guys think??? thanks guys any ideas would be greatly appreacited.

I like all your doing with the exception of going to a single disk up front. Why are you doing that? I would love a dual set up on my bike.

Since I am doing new wheels and there 16 inch you can even see the wheels with dual disk I dont think the dual disk is needed on a dyna, touring bike yeah I am just not a big fan especially if you do new wheels. also Really if I didnt ride two up I would go with my original plan of a Exile Twist Clutch and internal throttle with no front brake and suicide shift the bars would be so clean with that setup but since I do alot of two up no front brake bit sketchy..
I have been doing a LOT of research on the rear fender too. I have found that for your purpose, and mine, riding two up the wide glide fender is about the best and sturdiest way to go. Not the most eye appealing, but you can put some Burly Slammer 10.5" shocks on and drop it down pretty close. That is what I am going to do.
Awh don't mind me. It's just the ex-sportbike rider in me commin out. For my money you can never have enough brake! LOL
As you can see, my bike is in the same condition as yours is right now.

I like what you've done and are planning to do. Which Track Bars are you thinking about? I understand about getting rid of the brake on the "show" side of the bike from a looks standpoint, but from a performance standpoint I' prefer the dual setup.
