Default Project Winter Bob

SO around this time every year I like to start my mods and if i get a few more rides in before the year then cool if not at least the bike well look great for mext season u know. So this year I had everything powder coated black and did the pipes and a PC 5 and did some black foward controls as well. Here are my new mods that I am starting what do you guys think wanted your opinions..

New Wheels - Spoked wheels, blk rims, blk hubs, silver spokes.

New bars was gonna do 1 inch risers with track style bars like a dirt bike in blk of course. Was also thinking of doing the Roland Sands Flat Out bars which have no rise they are almost like clip ons but I think I would be leaning way foward with these and not sure if that will be really uncomfortable, anybody try these? What do you think??

New intake gonna do a nice new Goodson Air Cleaner powder coated Blk. Or I was thinking of doing the Roland Sands Velocity Stack in black what do you guys think?? Anybody use the RS Stack??

New Jay Brake Hand Controls in BLK with no switches smaller Master Cylinder cause I went to a single caliper and rotor if I am doing wheels I want to be able to see them u know, as for the switches I am thinking of doing the Klock werks ignition relocation which puts it over where your Horn and cover is I would add in my starter button and a high/low button and make it all look trick..

New rear fender gonna use two older dyna rears cut them and make a nice shorty round fender a club member is helping me with that still be able to ride two up for now gonna go with a Lepra Bare Bones single seat I will add the pad when my girl wants to ride with me..

New Headlight - SJP Single all black with a nice polish bezel for contrast these are the headlights that exile cycles use very industrial looking which is the look I am going for its a reall nice light hey for $500 it better...

I was thinking of doing this tank guage console delete made by washington choppers here is the link http://www.washingtonchoppers.com/gastankpage.htm go to fatbob dash cover.. It comes polish but I could have the peice powder coated blck. Not sure if I should do this the other option was I am gonna replace my guage with a nice Dakota digital...

What do u guys think my bike is in my sig, should look alot better with all my new mods....

Everything sounds good. What size wheels are you thinking? I would do an 18" rear and either an 18" front with 140 tire, or 21" front with 120 tire. Have you thought about swapping out your rear fender for a Wide Glide fender? It will bolt right on and allow you to have a 2-up seat and still get the chopped look.

I am doing 16's front and rear, I dont want to run a 21 it will take away totally from the fat bob look I am more into the exile style look with big tire small wheels.

Yeah I like the wideglide fender but not on the fat bob its still leaves a big gap the way the fender is gonna come out it will look like alot more flush no gap and I will still be able to ride two up.

Sounds like a nice list of mods. Question on the dash cover. IF you do that and go with the Washington choppers cover, what are your plans on relocating the speedo? I see they (Washington Choppers) offer a rocker box mounted speedo and tack setup. It looks kinda pricey but would definitely be different.

I'm also interested in seeing how your wheels turn out. I've considered doing something similar. Like you, I like the 16 inch wheels and fatter tires. I under stand you wanting to see more of the wheels, but I don't think I would eliminate one of the front discs. The double discs is a strong point of the Fat Bob...Anyway, good luck and keep us posted...(with pics)
