Thought I'd post some pictures. I'm more of a lurker, don't seem to have a lot of time to post anymore, just read here and there about you all's projects. I got a little inspired by the fairing projects I've seen out there and got one mounted finally. I used some HD quick release brackets, and how that I've got the plates/spacing worked out, I'm having a buddy at a machine shop make me some nicer looking brackets we can powder. Check it out. It took a few months to work this out between going through stock fairing inner and outers and finally settling on an aftermarket made fiberglass unit. I've got a machined piece as well for the stereo that we've got to pop in later next week. Just came off the CNC machine. Anyways...check it out.
i have been thinking of doing some thing like this to my wg. i've been trying to find some info on which fairing to use. (fatboy, roadking, etc.) that would fit.
What kind of aftermarket unit did you use? Memphis Shades now has a Dyna fairing that will bolt right on existing windshield brackets. They also come with the speakers and amp for use with an ipod or satillite radio. Your set up looks good! Can you keep your old headlight? Can't see from that angle if you have to go to a larger light. Keep up the good work!
