Here it is, i have an '11 FBob, I can either add just slip-ons for $300.00 or a full system, air intake and fuel pak for $1000.00. My question, is the extra money worth it ? Is it a substantial power gain ? My biggest concern is getting a some sound. I imagine coming from a 1200 Sporty, that the 96 will have ample power to begin with. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I always do the full swap on Harleys. Its my understanding they're tuned pretty lean from the factory to pass EPA regs. Not good for an air cooled engine especially if you get stuck in traffic. Gives me "piece of mind" on top of the HP and visual appeal.

Not to mention it won't burn the backs of your legs as much.
The nice thing of the full exhaust system is how you can change the look of the bike. With slipons it will look pretty much like the stock exhaust. That said I like the way V&H Short Shots and alot of others flow with the V of the cylinders
