Went over to a friends house and helped with some
bathroom remodeling. On my way home I saw the
temp was 76 deg. the moon was bright and the
air felt great. I turned the 20 mile ride back home to
a 45 miler. One of those nights that made me glad I
bought a Harley. Damm, If I didn't have to work
tomorrow I'd go back out.
Rode mine to work today so I will have that nice cool ride home.
Only about 3 more hours and I can get to ridin!! Only about 25 miles but still lookin forward to it.
I rode about 60 miles with two close friends. The temp was 75 at 8pm. The moon was full and you could smell the leaves.........damn this is starting to sound a little too- anyway, it was an awesome ride on an awesome night.
I have to chuckle every time I read a story about someone's new adventure with night riding. It's definitely a different feeling if you are not used to it.
I work the midnight shift and night riding is just another trip to work for me...still a pretty cool way to get there!
You've got to stay on your toes...not only because of deer or animals, but also because road conditions and hazards are much harder to see.
Our stock Dyna headlights pretty much suck!!!!!!!!!
Guess Im Lucky I get to night ride daily . I get off work at 1am every Night and Its the most enjoyable ride ever. Like other posters say its : cool , moonlit , no traffic etc etc. Beats my ride into work at 3pm in Dallas Summers where its 100+ ....Fells like My daughter shoved her hair dryer 3" from my face and turned it on High.
Had the same experience tonight in CT. The wife and I went out to dinner, when we got back she suggested a short ride (30-45 minutes) becuase it was so nice (upper sixties). 2 hours and 20 minutes later we pulled back in the drive.
I prefer daytime rides, but with some extra caution nights like this are great.
