Default Different oil pan

Why does my bike have a different oil pan? I looked at 3 other wideglides and they have the drain plug on the side of the pan. Mine does not have the drain plug on the side. The tranny drain is in the right spot but the oil drain is not. Did they use different pans every mechanic I ask says no. I pulled the plug in the front of the pan and it didn't seem to get all the oil out. It does have a hair line crack in it so I guess I will just get a new one from Harley and install it but it is strange. I am assumeing the the old owner tried to use a car jack on it.

It is an aftermarket pan it is low profile it does not hang as low as a stock pan. I am getting a new pan Or i might just repair this one and when I have it off the bike install a drain plug in it just drill and tap one in. Because I do kinda like the fact it is low profile
