On A Scale of 1 to 10??
I am converting my 2000 Dyna SG front end for a wide glide. On a scale of 1-10, how hard would this be for a shade tree mechanic. I have a manual and the fix my hog vids. Anyone know of a How To vid on this conversion? Any tips, suggestion etc. Will I need any special tools? Thanks in advance for your help!!

You just doing a standard FXDWG to FXD ...? (Not an aftermarket Accutronix or some such ... or a FXST or FLST front end ... right?)
This operation is not that difficult ... I'd rate it about 6 or 7 ....
Some wiring involved for changing out the headlamp ....
Unless you've got a really broad range of sockets, you'll need to get the big one for the steering head ... that's pretty much it ....

I used a Vulcan Engineering 39mm Wide Glide conversion kit. It came with everything, spacers for wheel and fender. Depending on the kit you bought you may need to change the headlight as it could have the mount on the top of the bottom tree (if that makes sense) therefore rendering your top mount headlight useless. I bought a baker headlight from Vulcan as well as some raked fork cups at the same time.
I got an indy mechanic to do mine as he was also doing the ape hanger wiring however the only thing i have to do is try and hide the wiring, before it was hidden up under the headlight cover where as now it is exposed so for the moment I have a tool bag in front to hide until I think of another method.
As for fitting it yourself I don't think it would be that hard, if you have the proper jack you should be able to slide your fork out of the trees which I think would require the right hand controls to be removed from the bars then as someone else said make sure you have the correct sockets and read the manual.
Good luck and post some pics if you get a chance.
