Default Remove & replace handlebar grips

Looking at the instructions they refer you to the service manual. The left grip looks easy. Any suggestions/tips on the r/r of the right grip ?

thanks Greg 07 fxdb

not a prob... here is how you do it...
1. open up switch housings
2. take razor and cut off clutch side grip
3. loosen throttle cables
4. remove cables from grip (do not lose the brass throttle stays)

install new grip, tighten cable
add a few drops of super glue gell on the clutch side grip and slide that on, put switch housings bck together... done!

Yeah, what JRK said. I don't really see the need for a manual for this job.

i also like to add a bit of marine grease to the throttle side when i slide that on... but there is not a 100% need for that

Don't even see the need for the superglue. Changed grips on my sporty and my fx and didn't have to cut either grip off. New grips on, tighten the housings down, good to go. Couple of years and thousands of miles and no problems

i always glue my grips on... i saw a guy get off his bike to push it back into the space, his clutch side grip spun, twisted the bars, and the bike went down... after that, a bit of super glue is a easy safety measure to take. when you need them off it breaks free easy enough that is why i do it on all my bikes and customer bikes
