Default front brake

I am new to my super glide coming from a sportster. The front brake seems really soft, is that normal for these bikes?

I just traded my 48 for the SG Custom, this week. Yes, you will need to apply more hand pressure on the brake lever to get the same stopping power. The bike is heavier. I did feel like the brakes got a little better after a few miles break in. Maybe it was my imaginantion?

I can tell you without a doubt that the brakes on my WG suck. But with the skinny front tire I dont think dual disc's would really do me any good, they would just let me lock the skinny bastard that much easier

I don't think I can even lock up the front wheel. The rear feels fine, just the front seems way less powerful than I think it should be. I'll ride with it like this until the 1000 mile maintenance, then I'll bring it up. If that doesn't work, I'll try flushing the fluid.

Go to Autozone, buy a MityVac, and bleed the brakes if you think the brakes feel too soft.

After I put on Magnum Cables front brake lines there is a much better feel to my front brakes. You can look up application by bike model. I think Capt. Itch, a member here is a dealer.

My front brake feels better as well after replacing with a braided line.
