Default Hanging by a thread

I haven't been around much lately, but I do own a Bob and sometimes look here to see what's happening. Usually, on visits to the dyna forum I see something that catches my eye and I click on it or at least move the cursor over the subject to preview the thread. My request involves threads that start off by mentioning something done to or added on to a bike, that turn out to not be questions rather than expositions of the topic. I'll make up an example:

Thread title = Blown 141" Kendall Johnson on 07 FXD.

Then you click on the thread excited as hell, and the first post just says; Anybody thought about adding a supercharged 141" to their dyna?

It's more of an observation than anything really. I'm sure some of you tall Bob riders have felt the same thing when you see a thread that says, "Black anodized forward controls with engraved skulls for fxdbi" then all it says is "wouldn't that be cool?"

I guess they're no more useless than this topic

Well thats how people learn and where discusions are formed and then hopefully that person that has actually done the mod in question shows up. Its funny how people can use something when it suits them but when it doesnt then theres a problem with it. Remember this is a discusion forum, a place where people ask questions, give advice, answer questions and even just start what if topics. God bless em all.

Even worse is reading problems that other 06 Dyna owners are having and you are sure that it's going to happen to yours or is. Being partially or maybe totally neurotic myself, sometimes I think of this when I'm riding. For example the guy that went through a couple of motor mounts - I'll be riding and asking myself "Is it vibrating more than when I got it". My crazy head can convince me that it is. Don't get me wrong this is a great site with a ton of helpful info, but for a mental case like myself some threads get me over thinking certain things. Listening too hard and not enjoying the ride. I'll tell myself when I'm riding sometimes "stop obsessing you crazy F@ck!" I put 14k on my bike in 6 months. Love it!

Thanks to everyone for making me more nuts! LOL

I'm hearing voices again " I HEAR A NOISE COMING FROM THE PRIMARY COULD IT BE THAT BEARING THE GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!! OH NO IT'S THAT FRONT END CLUNK AGAIN OR IS IT COMING FROM THE BACK.........ETC......."

Not venting. Just had the earlier thought after clicking on some threads waiting to see a cool mod and then seeing a question. Wasn't actually a problem or anything. That's happened many times not only on this forum but others. It happens a lot on the Hyosung and Daewoo forums when I'm looking for cool mods to my other main vehicles.
