Ok, So I spent all weekend doing some mods to the bike. I have an '09 FXD and I went with fork mounted turn signals and laydown license plate. Threw in the Heat Demons that have been sitting around and added passenger footpegs. I had to take the tank off to get the electrical changed out. I put everything back together and the bike does not start. I checked everything and can't find a problem. It keeps trying to turn over but it keeps cranking but does not fire up. Now I killed the battery. Any suggestions on where to start?

Do you hear the fuel pump inside the tank buzz for a second or two when the ignition is first turned on?

You may have left a wire unhooked or a fuse may have blown.

Yes it does. The transmission light lights up for 4 seconds I hear the buzz but when I attempt to start it won't.

I pulled the fuse as recommended in the manual and put it back in place but I need to check it to see if it blew.

Is it possible that I got some sediment in the fuel system after draining the tank? How would I know?

You could shoot a little starting fluid in the intake to see if it starts. If it starts you have a fuel problem. If it won't start you have a ignition problem.

Someone had the same problem last week and there was one connector that just wasn't pushed in all the way to the click. I would check the connectors if you haven't already.

+1 on the connections. The other guy did not put the fuel line back on correctly. Since you had the tank off check the quick disconnect fitting....
