I run with my Corbin Classic Solo during the week and switch to my Dual Tour on the weekends for my lady. The trouble is this: with the solo seat on, that damned nut that's built into the top-center of the rear fender (where the tail-end of the touing seat attaches) rattles like crazy, even with a screw run into it. Any of you run into this? How did you solve it?
Excellent idea! I would expect that some bling manufacturer has a clean, bolt-on solution for this, but I've not seen one in the popular catalogs. If I can't find a clean bolt-on solution then I'll go with your suggestion, RWP. Thanks.

Went to a hardware store and found some thin plastic or rubber washers. Cut a piece out and slide it under the clip.

I swapp between these two seats all the time. The stock seat is the "Badlander" which is the hardest seat known to man! It looks cool and I usually use it for short rides around town. Can't do a 100 mile day on it though.
The other seat was especially made for the Night Train. Harley doesn't offer it any more. It's called "custom seat for Night Train Models" and it was part number 51536-00 in the 2003 catalog.
It's a very comfortible seat for both rider and passenger. Never had any problem switching between the two.
HD sells a detachable seat hardware kit. If you have the newest catalog it is on page 158 and the part #s vary depending on which model you have. I have 51676-96 for my WG. It is finger tightened, stays put and does not vibrate.
