Just looked up on americanmototire.com Metz 880xl is the radial. Always had good luck with metzler tires going back to the 70's Always seemed to be a cut above the rest. Have had good luck with Conti Dunlaps and pereli also.

Ok, I called the Indy and asked about mixing. They said it isn't recommended but it will be fine, but next time try to get the same ply on front and rear...

Lol, not sure how to take that. I think I'll be fine, I'll just take it easy at first to be sure.

Thanks to all that helped

Radial and bias in the same bike is not a problem. There are some models that come that way from the factory.

My 880XL rear is radial and the front is bias ply... I rode sportbikes for many many years and would definitely notice any negatives and trust me, you have no worries. Once you ride your bike the difference is amazing. We have alot of metal grated bridges here and my bike felt like a wallowing mess going over them with Dunlops and Kendas..Installed the 880s and the bike is rock solid now.
You will be fine and HD specs many bikes with a mixed tire set.

Thumbs up

I am running Metzeler 200/50/18 rear and 120/70/21 front. Ride Wright 40 spokes, tubeless. No problems! The absolute widest tire you are going to fit under a stock fender.

Thanks again for all the replies. I think I saw a few posts about the radial boogyman and got scared of my own shadow. I'm pretty stoked about getting out and trying the new wheels, and other mods.

Just for S&G's I checked the owners manual and it doesn't say anything about using one ply or the other, front or back. Good to go.
