lowering a superglide
Im a newbe to the dyna forum and have a question. I have 2000 super glide that I am going to let my son ride The issue is he is height challenged at 5 foot 5 in. I put the lowering blocks on the rear shocks and lowered the front end by sliding the front forks up about 3/4 of an inch. Have I did anything to change the handleing to the point of it being unsafe for him to ride. I rode the bike and cant tell aqny differance.
He should be fine. The suspension wasn't altered enough to effect safety at all. The wheel base was shortened a fraction and the travel was shortened, but he's lower to the ground now, his feet touch the ground, you did the right thing.
If you lowered the rear more than the front, the steering will be a little slower, but more stable at speeds, however, still too slight of a difference to notice.
