Default Pulled the trigger and ordered, what do you think?

I have a 2010 Street Bob and want a louder sound with some performance (I really don't know what to expect so I am happy with what I get). I ordered V&H Short Shots, Arlen Ness Big Sucker and a V&H Fuelpak. I am looking for feedback on the products and maybe a heads up on things that were a pain. Thank you in advance for all the help.

V&H Short Shots:- Not a good pipe performance-wise. Not much better than a set of drag pipes really. You will likely find low-rev rideability issues. Also too noisy in my opinion for long distance.

Arlen Ness Big Sucker: - Nothing wrong with this. A popular choice.

V&H Fuelpak:- Will do the job for open-loop operation of the bike (accelerating & high speed). Not so good for normal riding conditions, where you will find the bike will run lean because the O2 sensors and ECU will tend to override the fuelpak and bring the tune back to close to stock. Fitting some Xieds along with the fuelpak is one suggested fix, though I've not tried it.

The combo of short-shots and fuelpak might not be the best for performance. You will, though, have a noisy bike that will perform OKish and if that was the aim then you'll be fine.

Everything Foxter said seems to be right on with what the majority of folks around here have to say . Though, there are those who are running the same set up , who really love it, and hopefully, you will to . Congrats on the the bike, and be sure to post up some pics !

I'm running a D&D Fatcat with a AN Big Sucker and XIED's - work great for me. Low the performance and the sound.

Short Shots may not be best for performance but neither are Harleys
They perform well enough for my liking and the sound is nice I think even on long rides.

I was running pretty much the exact same setup. Yeah you will get loud. And yeah from stock the breather and fuel pak will free it up just a little bit. But dont expect to be overjoyed at the power gain. Minimal at best.

I highly recommend the Quiet baffles for the Short shots. They are actually not quiet, but bring the tone down to a deeper, more pleasing sound that a longer pipe gives you.

It will also give you a little more throttle response by adding some backpressure.
