Any tips for removing yellow road paint from my tins? Appears I've gotton into some somewhere, little yellow specs. Got it off of the chrome allright, just didn't want to damage the tins. Any idea's?(I know, stay away from fresh paint. lol). Thanks.
Got in the yellow paint a couple times with my cages. Took it to a auto repair shop and they removed it with no problem at little to no cost. You might want to ask a shop what they use. Good luck.
Try "Goo Gone" it works great on most stuff and is pretty safe. I used it to remove my reflectors without any issues on the paint. So it may be ok to remove your yellow specks without huring the underlying paint.
I manage a body and paint shop. We'll use Denatured Alcohol to get that stuff off. It takes elbow grease and some time but it will come off without hurting the your paint. You'll probably need to buff it and through a new coat of wax on when you done. Get on it right away, the longer that sits the worse it is
I had a car get covered in primer...little specs all over from my neighbor painting his house with a spray gun on a windy day. I got on it right away with a clay detailing bar and it lifted it right off no problem.
I was going down the road on the weekend, with several cars in front of me. I happened to notice this one driver swerve pretty briskly, so I slowed down. Well thank the good lord I did because the fool two vehicles up did not swerve and hit a five gallon pail of some kind of white paint. I slowed down real quick, and while doing that I noticed the car in front of me got spewed all over the hood and windshield with this paint. I believe the guy that hit it got paint all over his vehicle also (on the underside).
I was now sitting on the side of the road watching all the mayhem and name calling from the fella in front of me to the guy who hit the paint can, the fella that hit the paint can just kept saying "but I thought it was an empty bucket". People never cease to amaze me.
What'z that one fella say, "Here's your sign" (or something to that effect).
