break pad fell out of caliper . just hanging there on round loop on bolt but just swinging in the wind anyone have any ideas what would cause this issue. rear wheel outside pad

as for improper install orignal brakes from factory 4000 mils on bike

If it's less than 2 years old take it in to the dealer.

Doesn't mean much, even the best mechanics screw it, That's what warranties are for.

Is the bolt still attached or did it just fall out? With 4000 miles, it could have vibrated out...shouldn't but it could.

I'm going with the "not installed correctly at the factory" theory. It shouldn't pop out like that. Take it back to the dealer if for no other reason than to make them aware of it.

something vibrated out or it wasn't put in rite..no way it can fall out with out a LOT of wear or something failing

Let us know what the problem turns out to be, but as a side note make sure to check over your bike frequently. Things happen and mechanics aren't perfect. You hot lucky here, but there are a number of things that could go wrong on a bike over time and if it happens at 80 mph, you're screwed fast.
