i'm going to show him your pics...and push him to get one of the windvest...(doesn't take away from the look IMHO)...
I'm not much for taking pictures either. Funny thing is my wife gave me a very fancy digital camera for xmas... it's kinda big, but takes nice pictures. The problem is you have to STOP to take a picture.. and once I get rolling I tend to keep rolling.
The son of a buddy of mine has one of those go-pro cameras. I think he sticks it to his helmet (probably looks like a dork), or maybe to his handlebars. Anyway this thing takes a picture at certain time intervals... I've seen pix from a few of his sons rides (rides a sporty), and their kind of neat... I wonder how much memory that thing has though... can it hold up to 12+ hours riding and taking pictures?
Anyway it was a great time.

It won't get you anything special, but tell them that Ken from Colorado recommended them. I don't get anything from that either - they're just nice folks.

Nice bike Tinker! I like the clean look which brings me to the Windvest. I'm about to talk myself into one and I'm curious about the size. I've got a stock Harley windshield on now and it works well except for some buffeting if the wind is blowing at the right angle. Does the Windvest direct most of the bugs up over your head and is there any problem with buffeting?
Your HD windshield is larger than the windvest - so it will block more wind.
I had a stock HD windshield on a Heritage way back when, it was nice and went with the 40's look I was going for on that bike.. My other bikes have had different looks - so in my opinion the HD shield would have looks too fat & overwhelming on.
The windvest does a really good job. I've ridden a lot on my windvest equipped bikes while wearing a DOT 1/2 shell, this last trip included. With the windvest on the bike, the head buffeting is minimal - probably at about the scale of what it is with the stock HD shield.
With both windshields though, you still get side and low wind coming up at you. That's just the way it is.
Anyway, it's early - I've got a headache, and have not have my coffee yet.. so this message is kind of rambling. Hope you can make some sense out of it.

Thanks Tinker. Buying a seat or a windshield is a real hit or miss situation. Once you buy it and use it it's yours and there's no way to tell ahead of time if either will be what you're looking for.
Enjoy your coffee........... I'm drinking a cold Pepsi One.

First - a Windvest windshield. Awesome product. This the the 3rd bike I've had one of their windshields on and I could not be happier. I passed through hail and rain with out too much of a problem (there's always some discomfort - especially with hail, no matter what kind of fairing or windscreen you have on your bike. The Windvest looks great - seems almost invisible on the bike, yet keeps the bulk of the wind off me and thusly making long rides much easier.
