Yet another SWB thread, LOL. Was at the HD shop today and their new service manager was talking to some folks about the Switchback. He recently came from the HD AZ proving grounds as a test mechanic and apparently was involved in testing this model. I asked him about the frame and he said neck angle is different (+ .9 degrees compared to std models) and that the struts and rear fender are wider than say an FXDC or FXDB but narrower than an FXDF or FXDWG - and NO the fender wont fit any of the others. Have to say I still think it will fit as some here have installed a WG fender on a street bob with only minor massaging. Time will tell, I guess - maybe the parts book will reveal something next week and a fender measurement too.
With enough imagination you can make anything fit. For crying out loud, I have a 2010 Road King rear fender on my 2008 Street Bob and a 2007 Heritage Classic front fender on my Fat Bob Triple Tree (with FLSTC lightbar and windshield) with Street Bob forks. Don't ever take it for Gospel truth when someone says "It can't be done".
On another topic, my local dealer has never charged freight and setup before, but now he is. An FLD is now $16.8K. Anybody else seeing this or is it a local thing?

My opinion. HD should have gone with the wider WG rear frame. A 200 would look sweet on the back of the FLD. Then a slightly modified RK/SG fender could have the SG fender extender added. They'll probly sell a Sh****load of them anyway.
