When I bought my Easy Brackets for mounting QD saddlebags, I ordered them for non-detachable hardware. Now I want to switch to detachable hardware, so I need different docking posts. I've searched the internet for 2 hours and have come up empty.
I'm sure I will need longer bolts, but first I think I need different docking posts that will accept the detachable sissy bar bracket and the easy brackets.Won't I?
Easy brackets sent me Dyna parts for a detachable bracket when I ordered for a non-detach. If you think these bolts will work I'll swap your kit for these.

From the pic, they just don't look right. Did they send you Dyna mounts? I've read of people being sent the incorrect mounting hardware, maybe that's what happened to you. I would expect to see a double flange for detachable sissy bar mounts and larger flange diameters, too.
At any rate, even the detachable style docking posts should work with your non-detachable brackets, if I understand correctly. If not, then have the seller make it good.
Couldn't you get the QD mounts and sandwich them between the struts and the EZ bracket mounts with longer bolts?
Wouldn't that trap the mounts to the struts and make them non-QD? I guess I just don't understand. Oh, maybe I just didn't understand what you people were trying to say. I think I get the picture now!!!!
So the QD backrest/sissy bar docking post (which I've never seen) can be stacked with the QD docking post for the Easy Bracket saddle bags....Then both can be used together, all it takes is a longer bolt to encompass the now wider post combination!
I got confused with the wording QD mounts, I was thinking you meant the actual QD brackets, not the QD docking posts, I guess it was the docking posts that you were referring too all along.
I get it now. Soooo, as mentioned at the beginning, I searched the internet for 2 hours looking without success, where do I get these docking posts?
The pic I sent are the easy brackets docking posts for a Dyna with detachable sissy bar. The bolts are too long for my non-detach bar.
PM your address and I'll send the posts and bolts. If they work, send me your spares. If not keep them since I can't use them.
