Someone with stirrups and forward controls: could you please post some photos of that setup?
The OP had stirrups installed and I'd like to see/understand how the forward controls are positioned. (No hurry, just whenever) Thanks

Dave,

Take a look at the pic in my sig. Save it if you want and open it in a photo viewer if you want to zoom in.

/edit

If that doesn't work, pm me your email address and I'll send you a larger version.

I put the kuryakyn mustache bar with highway pegs on my 2009 fxdc. With the forward controls and highway pegs in down position I can get the toe and heel of my size 13 boot on both pegs. Almost like a slanted floorboard feel. Also ads a different foot position for long rides. I went with mustache bar since I am not fond of the looks of a crash bar and mustache bar van be turned to get pegs where they feel right for you.

I'm tall and have forward controlls on my Fat Bob. The stock foot pegs never felt rite to me and my feet also acted like sails while cruising at speed. I ended up getting some Kuryakyn SwingWing Pegs and couldn't be happier. They offer a much larger area on which to rest my feet that stoped the "sailing" i experianced with the stock pegs. These pegs also provide a secondary fold forward peg that place your feet an additional 3" forward that are like having highway pegs. It's a cross between pegs and floorboards that still give you an option for highway pegs.

If you are getting the feeling that your feet are being blown off of the pegs, try a different pair of shoes. I used to always get that feeling when riding in my Boots at 70MPh, but it all but went away when I switched to running shoes. I think that it has to do with the hardness of the compound of your soles.

Thanks. The shifter is only 'toe' not heel/toe? I very much like that set-up. I'll hunt for 'em. Appreciate it.

Yep, just toe. I think that the stirrup would get in the way of a heel shifter.

Yeah, I guess it would. Mine are located in stock position. I'm ok with them there but will see what's available. Was looking at a floorboard 'kit'....pricey, but very nice.
