The problem im having is that the bike starts automaticly. I just pulled apart the controls and found that the ignition wires were pinched between the mounting brackets. This has caused a cut in the wire. Now to me it looks like a design problem as there is no way of pushing the wire harness all the way out when tighting the bracket to the handle bar. Has anyone seen this before?
Yep I would check the wires. They most likely touching, causing an open gate condition. If you can electrical tape them apart you can limp over to get it all fixed. Otherwise trailer it over.
Well if "The Father" is your priest you are outa luck.......have it fixed at the dealer and close your eyes when they ask for your Mastercard. (God will have your back on that one for being good to one of his guys). If it's your Dad......have it fixed at the dealer and tell Dad you need a ride to pick it up and to bring his checkbook........If it's your Father in Law........kick his a$$ and then have the bike fixed at the dealer.......it will be worth the expense.
How do you know it is getting pinched? It looks ok in the pic. You could start by loosening the switch housing on the side that fell and moving the switch hosing/grip out a bit to make sure it isn't pinched.
