Now, how do I get it off? I have no idea where I picked it up, but it must've been a stop line or a puddle based on the width. It's a really thick coating as well. Even got on the back fender, rear brake signal, and the saddlebags. I can't believe I never saw it.
Ouch. call your local dealer and tell them you got some road paint on the bike and ask them what they recommend so that you dont ruin your paint job. Hope it comes off. That can be tough stuff. they must have just painted the road with a fresh white line.
Buy a bottle of "Oops" from your local Wal-Mart. Get an old tooth brush (soft bristles), and get to work. It won't take much effort. When done, thoroughly rinse the bike off. Wax in places you'd normally wax. And don't let it sit on the paint any longer than necessary. If you're careful, you won't harm a thing.
And contact the road dept if you have any idea where you may have gotten it. Retrace where you went if reasonable and look for your tire tracks. If you can find them maybe you can make somebody pay to fix it... Worth a try

this! its their responsibility to keep things like fresh paint blocked off from commuters
Found it. It was in the parking garage in Home Depot. Looks like someone spilled a quart of white paint. I remember at that spot that I was eyeballing two cars that were backing out of parking spaces just as I was trying to get by. That's why I missed it.
I hit it with some Goof Off yesterday (spray bottle, not the lighter fluid type can which will take the paint off the sky). I was able to get it off the tins and saddlebags with enough patience. Gonna have to prep the leather again since it dulled the finish where I was rubbing a bit too agressively.
For the frame, motor and regulator I let it sit and worked on it this morning. The paint was rubbery and could be peeled off (like silly string). Now to give it a bath to get rid of all the goof off. Glad to see it didn't damage the paint.
I think for the tire I'll use the goof off and an old power toothbrush (I knew I kept that thing for SOME reason!).
