The stock seat on my SB was good for about 50 miles and I'm not a big or heavy guy. With the Mustang Vintage I can sit on it all day. It's bigger than the stocker so if you care about the looks you might want to see one in person. If you buy direct from Mustang I think they still give you a 10 day trial period. The seat in my sig is a Danny Gray, but here's one with the Mustang:

YES, YES, YES!! they are.
I have the vintage solo with the slim pillion. You can see them in my sig pic. I can't speak higlyenough about this seat. A little pricey, but well worth it.
